BAHR members engage in career-building activities to enhance knowledge and experience in the HR profession. Past activities include corporate visits, HR professional guest speakers, and events to build teamwork and comradery among BAHR members.
The Bears' Association of Human Resources (BAHR) is a student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management, sponsored by the Dallas HR professional chapter. Faculty advisor is Dr. Cindy Wu. BAHR's mission is to empower students to grow in HR knowledge, to network with HR professionals, and to build relationships with fellow students and faculty to ultimately prepare students for success in Human Resources.
BAHR typically meets every other week on Wednesday evenings. It is open to all students. Additionally, BAHR won a Superior Merit Award from SHRM the past 4 consecutive years.

Students can sign up for a membership in BAHR by clicking the link below. Dues of $50 for the year or $30 for one semester should be paid to our Venmo account @bearsAHR. These dues support member activities and events.
