Baylor's MIS curriculum is theory-based with a balance of practice. It is consistent with Association of Information Systems (AIS) and Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) recommendations.
The Baylor Information Systems and Business Analytics program offers a variety of learning opportunities including the following:
The MIS major prepares students for a career as an information systems professional. The major focuses on the integration of information technology solutions and business processes to meet the information needs of businesses and other enterprises.
The Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) focuses on equipping students with both the technical and management knowledge to lead and direct IS within an organization.
The MSIS/MBA joint degree equips students with the breadth of business knowledge that a MBA degree provides while still receiving the depth of information systems training that the MSIS provides.
The PhD in Information Systems seeks to train future researchers, scholars and teachers to analyze and understand the impact of information and communications technologies on individuals, organizations and society.
