Dr. Joe White is director of the Center for Policy Studies at Case Western Reserve University, where he is also Luxenberg Family Professor of Public Policy, Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and chair of Political Science. Previously, he was Associate Professor of Health Systems Management in the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine at Tulane University, and before that he was a research associate and then a Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution, where he wrote Competing Solutions: American Health Care Proposals and International Experience (1995). During 2009, he published articles in Public Administration Review, the Journal of Health Politics, Policy and Law, the Annals of Internal Medicine, and Health Affairs, as well as other journals and book chapters. Dr. White earned his A.B. from the University of Chicago and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
