Dr. James Henderson is the Ben H. Williams Professor of Economics and academic director of the MBA program in healthcare administration at Baylor University. Before joining the Baylor faculty, he worked for six years as an economic consultant, business analyst and market research specialist for the Dallas Minority Business Center, business development organization funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce. He holds a BBA from the University of Houston and MA and PhD degrees from Southern Methodist University. Dr. Henderson's is the single author of Health Economics and Policy., a text in its third edition, and is coauthor with Earl Grinols of Health Care for Us All: Getting More for Our Investment.. His research has appeared in a variety of professional journals, including the Health Care Financing Review., Journal of Development Economics., Journal of Rural Health., and Pharmacoeconomics. He is a co-director Baylor's largest summer study-abroad program and has lectured in the United Kingdom, South Africa, Mexico, Sweden, and the Ukraine.
