Jeffrey Schott

Jeffrey J. Schott joined the Institute for International Economics in 1983 and is currently a Senior Fellow working on international trade policy and economic sanctions. Schott has served as a senior associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, as well as a visiting lecturer at Princeton University and an adjunct professor at Georgetown University. He has worked in areas of international trade and energy policies with the U.S. Treasury Department. Schott holds a B.A. from Washington University, St. Louis, and an M.A. in international relations from the School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University. He is the author, co-author, or editor of several books on trade and numerous articles on U.S. trade policy with the GATT.
