Joseph Vicario is Senior Counsel for International Trade Regulation at Texas Instruments. He advises the company on the development of corporate strategies for international competition with special emphasis on export and import regulatory issues, FCPA compliance, and other trade regulations. Mr. Vicario also serves as the Secretary to the TI Ethics and Compliance Committee, legal counsel to TI’s Ethics Office, and is a member of TI’s Corporate Compliance
Committee. Prior to his employment at TI‚ Mr. Vicario was in private law practice for over 12 years in Washington‚ D.C. Mr. Vicario served as a past Chairman of the Joint Industry Group‚ a coalition of over 100 companies and trade associations engaged in international trade, and is an active member of TechAmerica's Customs and Export Controls Committees, the Semiconductor Industry Association's Export Controls Committee, and the International Trade Committee of the ABA Section of International Law and Practice. He holds a bachelor’s degree in government and foreign affairs the University of Virginia, a Juris Doctorate from the Georgetown University Law Center, and a graduate certificate in dispute resolution from Southern Methodist University. While at Georgetown, Mr. Vicario was an editor of Law and Policy in International Business‚ Georgetown's international law journal.
