Oso Launch

John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship & Free Enterprise

Oso Launch engages an exclusive group of students who own, operate, or are launching their own ventures. It is a two-semester, non-credit experiential venture creation cohort where participants gather and build their ventures together through mentorship, networking, business planning, and practical entrepreneurship exercises.

Oso Launch is built to support freshman student-entrepreneurs and nascent entrepreneurs as they explore, start, or grow their successful ventures. The program is open to student entrepreneurs from across all majors at Baylor with a focus on students in the Business and Innovation LLC.

Freshmen students must apply for the opportunity to join Oso Launch. If accepted, participants in Oso Launch will receive a $500 award upon successful completion of the spring semester cohort.

The criteria for successful completion are as follows:
•    Regular attendance at bi-weekly peer meetings in the fall
•    Participation at weekly meetings in the spring
•    Achievement of practical business development milestones

The application deadline for the 2019-20 Oso Launch program is September 13, 2019.
