CMI - Acknowledgement Policy

Acknowledgment and co-authorship is essential for the success of the facility.

Acknowledgment in publications and presentations should be granted whenever results are shown that were produced in our lab. When instruments were used and sample preparation was done without the help of personnel and scientific interpretation of the data was done independently, acknowledgement should also be credited.

Co-authorship in publications and presentations should be granted when personnel of the facility contributed more than just routine techniques. As the first use of the facility is usually always connected with help of personnel co-authorship should be granted at the first publication but can be changed into acknowledgement in the following publications when no help is needed anymore. Co-authorship should be granted when scientific interpretation of data was performed and methods were developed or adapted to suit samples or materials with the help of personnel.
