João Moraes is in his second year as the Resident Chaplain for Brooks College. Originally from Salvador, Brazil, João came to Baylor as an undergraduate student in 2016 and completed his BA in Religion in 2020. Currently, he is attending George W. Truett Theological Seminary and working towards a Master of Divinity with hopes to serve as a pastor after graduation. In his free time, João enjoys drinking coffee, hammocking, sailing, and talking about the Lord of the Rings.
