Mark V. Petersen

Mr. Mark V. Petersen holds an MBA (’84) in finance from Baylor University and a BBA (’78) in business administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is past president of the Baylor Bear Foundation and has served on the advisory board for Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business and the board of the Baylor Alumni Association. In addition to establishing an endowed scholarship, the Petersen family has financially supported numerous athletic and academic endeavors at Baylor.

Mr. Petersen serves as president and managing member of Sensus Capital Group, LLC, and a managing director for Concierge for Advisors. He has built a successful career in developing and directing distribution strategies for alternative investment programs and helping investment managers expand the diversification within their portfolios. He has more than 30 years of experience in capital markets, sales, marketing, and product development.

Mr. Petersen has served as executive vice president and head of capital markets for GWG Holdings, Inc. Previously, he served as president of Behringer Securities and head of distribution at Behringer Harvard Holdings, LLC. He also held several leadership roles with CNL Financial Group, Franklin Square Capital Partners, William Blair, and Madison Harbor Capital. During his tenure, he held positions of increasing responsibility in retail and institutional securities sales and national account management.

Mr. Petersen and his wife, Aubin Francis Petersen (BA ’74), are active members of Broadway Baptist Church in Fort Worth, and they have two adult children: Will Canon and his wife, Nell Bader Canon (BA ’01), and their son, Hayes; and Mallory (BBA ’07) and her husband, Barrett Shelton (EMBA ’16), and their sons, Sutton and Sawyer.
