Ms. Sarah Gahm’s career at Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) spans more than 30 years. She currently oversees the strategic development and operations of BSWH’s medical group practice as well as the accountable care organization that manages the health of more than 700,000 lives within a portfolio of managed care contracts. Ms. Gahm serves as the executive lead for strategic initiatives transforming health care delivery from a fee-for-service focus to a value-based model to achieve quality improvement, an enhanced patient experience, and health care cost reduction.
Ms. Gahm received a BS in biology from Baylor in 1984. She earned a master’s in healthcare administration from Trinity University in San Antonio in 1989. Prior to joining Baylor Health Care System, she completed an administrative fellowship at Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Ms. Gahm serves on several boards, including those for Baylor Heart and Vascular Hospital, Baylor Scott and White Quality Alliance Board, and Health Texas Provider Network Board. Her accomplishments have been recognized by several professional organizations, including The American Medical Group Association, the Group Practice Integrated Network, and The Advisory Board First Movers Group.
Ms. Gahm is married to Brad Gahm, an attorney. They are active members of Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas. They have two sons: Trent, a graduate of Vanderbilt University, who works in investment banking in New York; and Matthew, a scholarship football player at the University of Virginia, where he is a junior.
