Dr. Alexander Beaujean, associate professor, received Diplomate in Assessment Psychology from the American Board of Assessment Psychology in 2015 for demonstrated expertise in the field of psychological assessment.

Dr. Bryan Brooks, professor of environmental science and biomedical studies, director of the environmental health science program, received a Certificate of Merit from National Environmental Health Association for outstanding contributions to the profession of environmental health, October 2014; Scientific and Technological Achievement Award (Level III) from U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Research and Development for a substantial revision or modification of a scientific or technological principle or procedure, or an important improvement to the value of a device, activity, program, or service to the public, December 2014. Awarded research relates to a mission or organizational component of the EPA, or significantly affects a relevant area of science/technology.

Melvin Schuetz, assistant to the curators, Armstrong Browning Library, was appointed to the advisory board of the Carlyle Studies Annual, an international journal devoted to the life and times of Thomas and Jane Welsh Carlyle and their circle. CSA is a member of the Council of Learned Journals, an affiliate of the Modern Language Association.
