HONORS
Dr. Shelley F Conroy, dean and professor of nursing at Louise Herrington School of Nursing, was chosen to participate in the 2013 AACN-Wharton Executive Leadership Program from AACN and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business Aresty Institute of Executive Education in Philadelphia June 17-20. She was named one of 120 Visionary Leaders by Virginia Commonwealth University School of Nursing May 31.
Dr. Shelby L Garner, lecturer in nursing, was named national councilor from the Council for Undergraduate Research (CUR) on March 1.
Dr. Tom Hanks, professor of English, was named Faculty Member of the Year by Baylor Student Government April 2013.
Dr. Mary P. Nichols, professor of political science, was appointed to the editorial board of the American Political Science Review, spring 2013.
Lori A. Spies, coordinator of the family nurse practitioner program, LHSON Missions coordinator and senior lecturer in nursing, received the Ferne C. Newman Kyba Fellowship from The University of Texas at Arlington May 11 for an exploratory descriptive study on task shifting in Africa.
Dr. Rishi Sriram, assistant professor of educational administration, was appointed director of research from Texas Association of College and University Student Personnel Administrators (TACUSPA) April 15.
Dr. Trena L. Wilkerson, professor of education, received the Rachel Hunter Moore Award for Outstanding Woman Faculty Member from Baylor Chi Omega Theta Kappa Chapter November 2012 for Exceptional leadership and teaching at Baylor University.
Bob Shipp, academic advisor, received the Success Center's Excellence in Service Award.
