Courses Taught

I am a native to the great state of Texas. I grew up spending time in the outdoors camping, fishing, hunting, skipping rocks, wading streams, and even a little bird watching. I knew from an early age that I wanted to work as a wildlife biologist after college. To that end, I did college work in wildlife ecology at the center of the universe, TAMU, College Station, TX. An opportunity arose to do graduate masters level work at University of Wisconsin at Madison studying wild turkeys. Ultimately, I returned to TAMU for a PhD (like the swallows of Capistrano, aggies always come home). I enjoy wildlife work, both teaching and research, and when you can incorporate teaching students into the research it’s a great thing. Wildlife Ecology has taken me to some amazing places I would never have been to otherwise. I am also a terminal trout bum, with an addiction for pursuing trout and salmon with a fly rod where-ever cold streams flow, but especially Colorado and Montana. If a river does indeed run through it, sooner or later I will be there.
