Lives-Impactful: Softball Got More Than They Gave on Ghana Trip

When Glenn Moore and the Baylor softball team made the 6,000-mile trek to Obuasi, Ghana in Western Africa over the Christmas break, it was with one thing in mind. They wanted to show Jesus’ love in a poverty-stricken land where the average wages for a day’s work is $1.

But in the end, they received as much if not more than they gave.

Prince Scores 30 to Lead No. 25 MBB Past No. 16 Vandy

While the 33 NBA scouts at the Ferrell Center Sunday night were probably watching Vanderbilt's three 7-footers and Baylor's senior duo of Taurean Prince and Rico Gathers, it was 5-10 guard Lester Medford that hit the biggest shot of the night. With the Bears down by one in the last minute and the shot clock winding down, Medford drained a 3-pointer from the corner with 42.4 seconds left that lifted 25th-ranked Baylor to a scintillating 69-67 win over the No. 13/16 Commodores in the first home non-conference game in program history matching ranked teams.

No. 12 Football Falls to Texas, 23-17

Out of healthy quarterbacks and facing a 17-point deficit 14 minutes into Saturday's regular-season finale at McLane Stadium, the 12th-ranked Baylor Bears turned to a receiver and ultimately the wildcat offense with a pair of running backs.

2015 Baylor Volleyball Season Recap

Ryan McGuyre wanted, maybe even expected, to still be playing in December. But, Baylor's first-year volleyball head coach is not about to beat himself up about all the "what if" possibilities for a 17-13 team that flirted with its first NCAA Tournament bid in four years. At No. 42 in the final NCAA RPI rankings, the Bears were actually higher than five teams that received at-large bids.
