Bear Habitat

'the most visited place on campus'

Though the bears' campus facility has changed over the years, most locations have been near Waco Creek and 5th Street. In 2005, the current habitat - the Bill & Eva Williams Bear Habitat - was dedicated at Homecoming. Each day the Bear Program is grateful for the generous support from the Williams family. The resources gifted are cornerstone in our ability to maintain this one-of-a-kind tradition. The Bear Habitat facility helps us provide world-class care for these animals and unique educational experiences for the hundreds of visitors that visit each day. The Bear Program operations are regulated by the United States Department of Agriculture as a Class C Zoo Exhibit.
