Namesake: Lady was named after Sue Sloan, wife of the 12th president of Baylor University, Dr. Robert B. Sloan, Jr. Lady's nickname comes from Mrs. Sloan serving as the First Lady of Baylor.

Fun Facts: Lady uses her left paw to sic 'em! Lady joined her older sister Joy to live in Baylor’s habitat when she was a cub.
Lady comes from a cinnamon-colored line of Black Bears. Until her sister Joy’s passing in July, 2022, the two bears lived together in the Habitat. They loved to play and nap side by side in the shade. In addition to Joy, Lady has two brothers: one deceased and one an actor in Hollywood movies!
