What: Walk-In's provide adolescents, parents, and families an opportunity to seek consultation on a variety of mental-health issues without having to wait for an appointment. Common topics include: compliance, social skills, stressors (e.g., grief, parental separation, big life events), and guidance on understanding school-based services (e.g., IEP, ARD, FIE). Walk-in sessions are facilitated by a team of supervised graduate students, who are in mental-health training programs.
Who: Parents (with children of any age) or adolescents (ages 10 to 17) can be seen individually or with other family members. Families and individuals can be seen for one walk-in session or return for more; although, they may not be able to see the same clinician in each walk-in session. Please note, due to state laws, you must be currently located in Texas to be served.
When: Walk-In sessions are held on Mondays from 3:30pm – 4:30pm. Sessions last 50 minutes and cost $15.
