It is hard to believe that Baylor Round Table turns 117 this year! In this time of uncertainty, we have decided that this year’s theme will be “Rooted.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8 reminds us that “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. [She] will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit." Similarly, Ephesians 3:17-18 tells us, “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.”
Throughout the year, we’ll talk about being rooted in the traditions of Baylor and in the love of the Lord and how that rootedness will allow the organization to flourish for years to come, even as we face difficult and new circumstances.
