Overview

Are you teaching a new course or returning to a course you haven’t taught in a while? Perhaps your course needs adjustments to incorporate new material or learning objectives. Or maybe your course just doesn’t “feel right,” and you’d like help figuring out why.

The Course Makeover Workshop is designed to help you build, rebuild, or re-think your course. In the company of thoughtful colleagues gathered around shared readings and discussion, participants will craft a vision for their courses realized in thoughtful learning activities and assessments, all with the support of fellow faculty and the staff of the Academy for Teaching and Learning. We will also thoughtfully consider the implications of Covid’s “long shadow” for our course policies and interactions with students.

The best part—this year’s Course Makeover Workshop is completely virtual! Wherever summer plans take you, you can be a part of this community that will refine your course and enliven your teaching.
