Scholarship: Jim/Xan Foulks CSD Scholarship

Information: The Jim and Xan Foulks Endowed Scholarship Fund in Communication Sciences and Disorders was established in 2017 by James E. Foulks of Waco, Texas.

Jim Foulks graduated from Baylor University with a B.B.A. degree in 1962 and his late wife, Xan, graduated from Baylor University with a B.A. degree in 1959. They have two daughters, Judy Foulks Marblestone and Janet Gale Foulks.

Before retiring and moving to Waco, Jim Foulks was the owner and president of Foulks Management Systems Associates, Inc. Xan, who passed away on October 25, 2016, was a retired science teacher. ln 2005, they established the Jim and Xan Foulks Endowed Scholarship Fund for students studying entrepreneurship at Hankamer School of Business. In 2009, they established the Zachary Evans Retz Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund in Music in memory of their grandson.

Jim and Xan are members of the Endowed Scholarship Society and Lifetime Members of the 1845 Society. They have been involved with the Mayborn Museum, Lifetime Learning and the Baylor Angel Network within the Hankamer School of Business.

Criteria:  For graduate Comm Sciences and Disorders majors in the College of Health & Human Sci.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.
