Scholarship: Shannon Gleditsch Scholarship

Information: The Shannon Pratt Gleditsch Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2014 by family and friends of Shannon Pratt Gleditsch.

Shannon Pratt Gleditsch earned z B.S.H.E. degree from Baylor University in 1989, majoring in child and family studies. She has served as a child life specialist at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. She and her husband, Douglas Gleditsch (B.F.A. ’87), have three children: Ashby (a member of the Baylor Class of 2015), Corin (a member of the Baylor Class of 2018), and Jamesyn. Shannon passed away on November 14, 2014.

Criteria:  For Child and Family Studies majors in the Human Sciences & Design department in the College of Health & Human Sci who are a junior or senior.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
