Scholarship: L Horan & J McLaughlin Schp

Information: The Leta Horan and Jerry McLaughlin Scholarship Fund in Musical Theatre was established in 2014 with gifts in honor of Leta Horan and Jerry McLaughlin on the occasion of the thirty-fifth anniversary of the founding of Baylor University’s ShowTime! ensemble.

Baylor ShowTime!, a musical theatre ensemble founded in 1980, performed for audiences throughout the United States and Europe for three decades and has been recognized as one of the premier collegiate ensembles in the United States. Leta Horan, associate professor of piano at Baylor, was a long-time director of the group, and Jerry McLaughlin was the ensemble’s choreographer for many years.

Comments: For Sophomore-Senior students in the Theater Arts department.. Used for students concentrating in music theatre

Criteria:  For Undergraduate students in the Theater Arts department.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
