Scholarship: Charles "Court" Franklin Schp

Information: The Charles “Court” Franklin Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2012 by friends of Charles “Court” Franklin in his memory.

Charles “Court” Franklin graduated posthumously from Baylor University with the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree in 2007. While attending Baylor University, Court was a member of National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Chaplain and member of Beta Theta Pi Social Fraternity, and the Dean’s List. He played on the Baylor Rugby team for one year and multiple intramural athletic teams. Court completed his internship with TAC Engineering Solutions of Dallas in the summer of 2007 and had accepted a permanent position with the firm’s Austin office to commence in July following his graduation from Baylor.

Court Franklin graduated from Ruidoso Hugh School where he played varsity football, was on the wrestling team and the track team. He was an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, First Baptist Church Youth Ministries, National Honor Society, and Future Farmers of America.

Criteria:  For Mechanical Engineering majors in the School of Engineering & Com Sc who are a junior or senior.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and/or merit.
