Scholarship: Susan Burrow Colon HC Schp

Information: The Susan Burrow Colon Honors College Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2015 by family friends and colleagues in memory of Dr. Susan Burrow Colon.

Susan E. Colon was born in Sacramento, California to Larry and Becky Burrow. She received a B.A. degree from Baylor University in 1995 and a M.A. and Ph.D. from Florida State University in 1999 and 2002, respectively. Dr. Colon returned to Baylor University in 2002 as the first tenure-track faculty member hired for the honors program in the Honors College. An extraordinarily popular teacher, she taught courses in the great texts program, the university scholars program and the honors program. Her students and her colleagues will miss her inspiring presence on campus.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate students in the Honors College.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
