Scholarship: Alecia Mallett Nursing Schp

Information: The Alecia Walker Mallett Endowed Scholarship Fund in Nursing was established in 2012 by Jeff G. Mallett of Cypress, Texas and his two children, Bryan and Jessica, in honor of their wife and mother. Alecia Mallett has always carried a commitment to the Louise Herrington School of Nursing and the students that might not be able to attend without scholarship assistance. Alecia graduated from Baylor University with a B.S.N. degree in 1983. She also earned a master’s degree from Texas Women’s University in 1997. Jeff Mallett graduated from Baylor University with a B.B.A. degree in 1981. Alecia is a member of the Baylor University Women’s Association of Houston and Jeff is a lifetime member of the Baylor “B” Association as a letterman in baseball. Both are life members of the Baylor Alumni Association.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, or graduate students in the School of Nursing.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
