Scholarship: Dr Kathryn Stepp Tinius Schp

Information: The Dr. Kathryn Stepp Tinius Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2011 by Dr. Kathryn Tinius of Garland, Texas. Kathy graduated with a B.A. from Baylor University in 1970 and shortly thereafter began a career in education in Mesquite I.S.D. that lasted 34 years. She later earned a M.L.A. from Southern Methodist University and a doctorate in adult and continuing education from Texas Woman’s University. Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in numerous civic and professional organizations and is an active member of the Baylor Women’s Council of Dallas. Kathy has been married to her husband, Don, for almost 31 years. They have two sons: Austin and Adam.

Comments: Preference to students who excel in film making

Criteria:  For Undergraduate Film and Digital Media majors in the College of Arts & Sciences.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
