Scholarship: CE & Gladys Bedwell Schp

Information: The C.E. and Gladys M. Bedwell Endowed Scholarship Fund in Nursing was established in 2006 by John L. and Marjorie Marilyn Bedwell of Norman, Oklahoma in memory of John L. Bedwell's parents, C.E. (Gene) and Gladys M. (Williamson) Bedwell. Gladys attended Baylor University from 1925-1926. After which, she taught piano in the Texas public school system. In 1931, she married Chester Eugene Bedwell, a young banker. She continued as a church pianist at the Sunray Baptist Church until age 86.

This endowed scholarship fund provides assistance to students attending the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate Piano Pedagogy and Performance, Pedagogy, or Music Education majors with a concentration in Piano in the School of Music.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
