Scholarship: Louise Herrington Nursing Schp

Information: The Louise Herrington Endowed Scholarship Fund in Nursing was established in 2004 by Louise Herrington Ornelas of Tyler, Texas in honor of her mother, Minnie Herrington. Ms. Lou Herrington Ornelas is a member of the Endowed Scholarship Society and a life member of the Baylor Alumni Association. She also serves on the Tyler Women's Council. She was named an Alumni Honoris Causa in 1992 and became a member of the Judge R.E.B. Baylor Society in 2003. In 1999, Ms. Ornelas received an honorary Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Baylor University. This endowed scholarship fund provides assistance to deserving undergraduate and graduate nursing students.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate students in the School of Nursing.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
