Scholarship: Warren E Myers Scholarship

Information: The Warren E. Myers Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2011 by Doris B. Myers of San Antonio, Texas in memory of her husband, Warren E. Myers. Warren Myers was born on December 18, 1920 in Chandler, Oklahoma. He graduated from Oklahoma A & M with a degree in economics. Mr. Myers was a lieutenant during World War II and retired as a major general in 1997. Late, he served as a real estate broker on various boards. They Myers were members of the Baylor Bear Foundation, Old Main Society; Mr. Myers became an Alumni By Choice of Baylor University in 2007. He passed away on January 11, 2009.

Comments: To be accepted for any ROTC Scholarship, you must meet these standards: Be a U.S. citizen, be at least 17, and cannot turn 31 in the year of commissioning, have taken the SAT or ACT, pass the current Army physical fitness assesment, meet the height and weight requirements, pass a medical examination and agree to accept a commision to serve in the Army on Active Duty, Army Reserve or Army National Guard.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.
