The departments of Art and Theatre Arts have planned a full season of events for 2009-2010

This season Baylor Theatre will indeed explore all areas of theatre with its action-packed lineup of shows. The season kicks off with a rousing "musical within a comedy," The Drowsy Chaperone, followed closely by the quirky comedy, Fuddy Meers by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire. At the start of 2010 realism at its best will be presented as The Seagull soars onto the stage. Expect nothing short of intense drama and a battle between good and evil from the fourth show of the season, Shakespeare's Macbeth. The final show of the season is a chance to escape into the Italian countryside with Enchanted April. The full schedule is available at the Theatre Arts website.

The Martin Museum will display the works by artists Lee Edwards, Willie Ray Parish, and Rudy Pozzatti this fall. Opening in October is an exhibition of the work of Yih-Wen Kuo and the Baylor Contemporary Quilt Invitational. Concluding the semester will be the senior BFA exhibition. A full list of exhibition dates, gallery talks and guest speakers is available on the Martin Museum website.
