Baylor Prehealth Programs
Serving as a central hub for information about the eight prehealth programs at Baylor University, the Baylor Prehealth Studies Office provides advisement, mentoring and guidance for students who are interested in pursuing premedical, predental, prephysician assistant, preoptometry, preveterinary, prepharmacy, prephysical therapy and preoccupational therapy studies.

Environmental Health Science

Hillis Scholars Program
The William and Argye Hillis Scholars in Biomedical Sciences program is an endowed scholarship program established by the College of Arts & Sciences. It provides research experiences and enhanced mentoring and learning opportunities for high-achieving undergraduate prehealth students to make them more competitive for positions in top graduate programs and medical schools.
Baylor's medical humanities program is designed to advance a deeper understanding of medicine by intertwining the study of arts, humanities and clinical sciences. It provides an interdisciplinary and interprofessional approach to investigating and understanding the profound effects of illness and disease on patients, health professionals and the social worlds in which they live and work.
Science and Health Living & Learning Center
The Science and Health Living & Learning Center at Hallie Earle Hall is a place where Baylor students can engage in learning outside of the classroom in a professionally focused community. Students with a common interest in pursuing a career in medicine are able to collaborate with each other as well as science faculty and medical researchers, allowing them to develop the skills and background to become true medical scholars and future leaders in the healthcare professions.
Science Research Fellows
The Baylor Science Research Fellows program is an interdisciplinary major that aims to prepare students for a successful career in research in fields like biology, chemistry, biochemistry, physics, psychology, neuroscience, environmental science, anthropology, and geosciences.
Baylor University students interested in learning more about tropical medicine and the neglected diseases that disproportionately afflict the world's poorest people can take part in the annual Summer Institute at the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Baylor and BCM have partnered to create this intensive two-week course that introduces baccalaureate students to tropical medicine and helps them determine whether it is the right fit for them.
