Cultural Events Experiences

Cultural Events Experience Common Course Description

Though the term “cultural” is often construed broadly to include many aspects of human civilization, the Cultural Events Experience (CEE) at Baylor is intended for the fine arts, specifically art, music, theatre, film, and literature, with the additional focus of these arts as seen through the lens of world cultures. The CEE requirement was originally conceived and promoted by the fine arts departments at Baylor as a more inclusive and meaningful way to engage students in the arts than in previously required fine arts courses.

Additionally, events sponsored for the CEE program are meant to encourage engagement specifically within the Baylor community, as an important extension of the liberal arts conversations that happen on campus and among Baylor faculty and students. The intent of the CEE program is not only to inspire students and to foster fine arts patronage, but also to involve students in the varied cultural life of the university through communal experience and enriching conversation.

For more information, please visit the CEE website.

OALA - In certain situations, students may need to request special accommodations for a CEE event. In order to do so students must submit a Cultural Experience Accommodation Request Form through the Office of Access and Learning Accommodation. For more information and to download the form please visit the CEE OALA website.
