The College of Arts & Sciences

Core Curriculum

The College of Arts & Sciences core curriculum is the foundation for a degree from Baylor University; it serves to educate men and women to become informed and productive citizens of a democracy and servant leaders of faith communities. For this reason, the College maintains a robust core curriculum across diverse academic disciplines such as the sciences, social sciences, humanities, and fine arts.

Pre-Fall 2019 This core knowledge, rooted in essential texts, skills, and ideals, builds community, opens students' minds, and provides access to political and cultural influence.
Starting Fall 2019 The core curriculum is an essential element of Baylor University's transformational undergraduate education pillar and represents a significant portion of your chosen degree.
