Susan Stark Elliott

Susan “Sue” Stark Elliott, BA ’86, died Jan. 21 in Waco. She was born Dec. 4, 1964, in Greenville, MS, to Jim and Anne Stark. Sue gave her life to Jesus during her youth and was an active member of the Greenville First Baptist Church choir. She earned a psychology degree at Baylor, where she met Brian Elliott, BA ’84, MA ’90; they married in Waco in 1988. Sue deeply treasured Brian and their sons Tim, BBA ’15, and Benjamin, BSEd ’20. She was passionate about God and the wonders of his creation. Gardens, birds and exploring through nature captivated her adventurous heart. She loved meeting new people who quickly became dear friends. She was original, servant-hearted, fun and spontaneous, and she brightened every room. Sue was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Brian; sons Tim and Benjamin; brother Jim Stark and his wife Diane; brother Bill Stark and his wife Starwyn; sister Libby Gray and her husband David; and nieces and nephews.
