Robert “Peach” W. Pietzsch, BBA ’70, authored Troman, a fantasy novel available through Amazon in paperback and e-book. A trailer for the book can be viewed by searching “tromanofficialtrailer” online. Pietzsch is currently working on a trilogy of screenplays for a producer who is interested in Troman becoming a feature length film. Contact at peach007007@hotmail.com.

Jeffrey H. Collins, BA ’74, is a professor of archaeology and interdisciplinary studies at Oglethorpe University in Brookhaven, GA. While at Baylor (1970-74), Collins was sophomore class president and president of Sigma Tau Delta. He recently published three books of poetry: The Archipelagos of Summer: Poems of the Greek Islands, Illuminations in Italy: Poems and Lyrical Essays and Quantum Canticles.

The Janis K. Kovar Endowed Scholarship Fund in Nursing, a Hord Challenge Scholarship, was established by Pam Jones and Mike Jones, BBA ’75, JD ’77, of Flint, TX. This fund honors Janis Kovar for her years of service in promoting the interests of the Baylor Louise Herrington School of Nursing.

Donna Stewart Phillips, BA ’75, of Charlotte, NC, established the Dr. Ed and Nola Stewart and Mrs. Donna Stewart Phillips Endowed Scholarship Fund in memory of her parents. This fund is part of the Hord Challenge Program and supports Baylor nursing students.

Sharon L. Treadaway, BA ’75, of La Marque, TX, established the Bertie “Polly” and Gordon Treadaway Memorial Endowed Scholarship in Nursing in memory of her parents. This scholarship is part of the Hord Challenge Program.

Chris Wommack, BM ’76, MSEd ’87, and Susan Wommack, JD ’89, of McGregor, TX, established the Chris and Susan Jeter Wommack Endowed Scholarship Fund in Music to support students pursuing a composition degree in the School of Music.  

Philip Poole, BA ’77, completed his fifth semester of adjunct teaching in public relations at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. This is a second career after taking early retirement in 2018 as executive director of university communications at Samford University in Birmingham. Poole recently joined the executive committee for the Public Relations Society of America College of Fellows, a select group of 350 public relations professionals from across the U.S. and Canada. He and his wife Shellyn recently relocated to the Mobile, Alabama, area to be near their three granddaughters.

Wes Bailey, BBA’ 78, of Bailey Insurance and Risk Management was honored by the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) for 40 years of committed professional leadership and service. Bailey joins an elite group of CIC designees who have reached the 40-year milestone. Furthermore, he serves on the organization’s national faculty and has taught his peers the specifics of the commercial general liability policy in more than 30 states for the past 30 years.
