Regional Connections
The Baylor Alumni team has adapted hundreds of events to utilize online platforms that bring speakers, activities, presentations, gatherings and more to alumni and friends around the world. Virtual events are growing in popularity and more events are scheduled throughout the spring. Alumni and friends can learn about upcoming opportunities to participate through the events featured in weekly or bi-weekly emails, called Regional Digests. These emails consolidate events by region — Dallas-Fort Worth, Central Texas, Houston, Hill Country (Austin and San Antonio), Texas and all alums outside of Texas — and present them in one place to make it as easy as possible for alumni and friends to connect.
“We’ve been pleased to host events covering a variety of topics that have been very well-received,” Associate Vice President of Alumni Engagement Amy Armstrong said. “From our Lunch with a Legend Series to the Enneagram Workshops to opportunities to hear from Baylor faculty about their areas of expertise, there’s something for everyone.”
In addition to live events, alumni and friends can view previous events that have been recorded at baylor.edu/alumni/youtube.
“The desire is to connect alumni with each other and the great things that are happening at Baylor. Our alumni and friends hold a deep affinity to their Baylor experiences, and the events help celebrate that important connection,” Armstrong said.
