Kevin Cherry is an attorney and the managing partner of the Dallas law firm Cherry Petersen Landry Albert LLP, which he founded in 1991. He previously served as assistant regional counsel, supervising attorney and staff attorney for the Federal Asset Disposition Association, an assistant vice president for Henry S. Miller Co., and an associate attorney with the Winstead law firm.
Cherry has been a director of the Dallas Baylor Bear Club and of the Dallas County Utility and Reclamation District. He also served as an advisory board member for the formation of the Preston Trail Community Church. He has been a volunteer and supporter of The Step Foundation, the Incarnation House, the Promise House, the DISD Homeless Education Program, West Dallas Community School, Providence Christian School of Texas, and Dallas Seminary.
AWARDS AND HONORS
Cherry was recognized as an Outstanding Young Alumnus by the Baylor Alumni Association in 1997. He was named a Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly and listed among the Best Lawyers in Dallas by D Magazine.
Cherry serves as permanent class president for the Class of 1979. He also served as president, vice president and membership chairman of the Dallas Baylor Bear Club and was a director of the Baylor Alumni Association and the Baylor Bear Foundation. He is currently a member of the Baylor Alumni Network Board of Advocates. Kevin and his wife Kris Atwood Cherry established an endowed scholarship for the Baylor men’s basketball program in memory of their friend Robert K. “Robin” Todd. They are members of the Baylor Parent Leadership Circle Advisory Board, Old Main Society and 1845 Society.
CHURCH/CHRISTIAN MISSION AFFILIATIONS
Kevin and Kris Cherry have been active in church adult ministries, children’s ministries, and church recreation ministries in Dallas. They are currently members of the Park Cities Presbyterian Church in Dallas.
