President-select Linda A. Livingstone, PhD, did not always aspire to a career in upper-level university administration. Even as the possibility of that career path developed in recent years, she was determined to only look at institutions that aligned with her values. Her discernment resulted in becoming Baylor’s selection as the university’s 15th president in mid-April. Livingstone officially begins in the position June 1.

Three years in, the Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative (BRIC) is doing what it was meant to do. The cornerstone facility of the developing Central Texas Technology and Research Park, the BRIC contains labs, research centers, industry collaborative space and workforce training capabilities.
In June 2016, Baylor welcomed the first Alumni-elected Regents to service on the Board. Alumni-elected Regents will serve 3-year terms; however, the 2016 appointees were installed with 1- 2-, and 3-year terms to allow the election process to commence in spring 2017.
