BU social media presence continues to grow

As the world of social media continues to grow, so do the number of ways Bears can stay connected to Baylor.

Baylor's official Facebook page (baylor.edu/facebook) topped 100,000 likes in October. From photo albums to videos to news items, Facebook is one of the university's primary means of communication with alumni, students and the rest of the Baylor family.

The @BaylorProud Twitter account gained its 10,000th follower in December, joining @BaylorAthletics and @BUFootball in having crossed that milestone. This fall, the university introduced a new account to the mix with @Baylor. The new handle serves as an official source of information from the university, sharing timely events and news related to Baylor as well as some lighter items. In the case of a crisis, @Baylor will also be a vital link to the most up-to-date information available.

Baylor Proud entered the world of Pinterest in August and already has more than 1,500 followers. What will you find there? Baylor holiday decorations, tailgating recipes, fun Baylor t-shirts and other apparel, beautiful campus photos and more. Join the fun at pinterest.com/baylorproud.
