James M. "jimmy" Summers Jr.

James M. "Jimmy" Summers Jr. died on July 26 at age 49. He was killed in a hit-and-run collision. After graduation from Texas A&M, Summers held engineering positions with Texas A&M, Central Freight Lines and others before becoming a master instructor of computer networking and systems administration at Texas State Technical College in Waco. He served Baylor University as senior consultant for faculty research for the academic and research computing services and was the administrator for the Baylor super-computer, one of the few in the nation. He organized the Texas A&M hockey team and most recently was the coach of the Baylor hockey team.
