About
Baylor University Fling is an event held every other year that began in 1983 by the late Dorothy Barfield Kronzer '44 as an opportunity for Baylor women––whether they be alumni, alumni by choice, parents, or friends of the University––to return to campus as a group, get reacquainted with former classmates, friends and roommmates, and share their Baylor memories. Through the years, speakers have discussed diverse subjects, including fine arts, drama, law, medicine, music, politics, and sports.
Beginning as a quality time for visiting and meaningful Homecoming event, Fling creates the perfect environment to infuse women's lives with thought-provoking conversation, a sense of empowerment and support, and fresh insights. With an appreciation of the different paths Baylor alumni pursue, Fling is a unique occasion to share knowledge and experiences with each other and to make connections strengthening individuals and communities around the globe.
"Fling is a great opportunity to connect in a meaningful way with other ladies that love Baylor. The speakers are relevant, entertaining and inspiring! As a Baylor alumna, I love coming back to campus to enjoy an event that is well-planned and most of all, FUN! I always wish that Fling was an annual event instead of every other." – Julie Lowe '92, Lubbock

Woman of Distinction
Bob Anne Senter
Bob Anne was born October 31 in Amarillo, Texas, the only child of Willie and Bob McMullan. She graduated from Lulling High School and Baylor University, worked for two years as an Executive Secretary for Republic National Bank in Dallas before marrying a Baylor graduate David Senter and returning to Waco. She worked at the Methodist Home until her first child, Bob, was born, and he was followed by a baby sister, Lindsey. She has 4 grandchildren, 3 boys (Clark Senter, Parker and Cullen Burns, and 1 granddaughter, Molly Burns). Bob Anne’s involvement with Fling began in the late 1980's as a committee member, serving as Chairman in the 1990s. She accepted part time employment at the Baylor Alumni Association after serving as president of the organization and planned the travel calendar for alumni trips. Several years later she added the position of coordinator of Fling to her responsibilities and maintained that role until her retirement in 2016.
