Medal of Service in Business Leadership Gary Keller, BBA '79

Awarded to an individual whose leadership has made a significant impact in our world and on future generations.

About Gary Keller

Shortly after high school graduation, Gary Keller began a quest to become a great rock musician. He soon found that his path would not lead him to the concert stage but to Baylor University where he fell in love with the campus and with learning. Gary served as a resident manager in Penland and found a strong group of friends he continues to cherish in Lambda Chi. At his father's urging, Gary began exploring a variety of professions the summer before his junior year and found he had an interest in real estate. That interest launched one of the nation's largest real estate franchises, Keller Williams Realty. Gary has authored best-selling books, was a finalist for Inc.'s Entrepreneur of the Year and remains at the top of his profession. And he continues to give back to the University that helped him find his calling. The Keller Center, opened in 2007 within the School of Business, helps tomorrow's leaders prepare for their profession and serves as a hub for research in the real estate industry.
