Kurt Kaiser
As a composer and a pianist, Kurt Kaiser lives out his faith through his musical gifts. He has enhanced the world with a Christian message of hope as a pioneer of modern church music. In the 1960s, he served as director of the Baylor Religious Hour Choir. Valuable stewardship of his talent led him to a lifetime achievement award from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, the Hines Sims Award for Faithfulness in Service and induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. In 2001, The Kurt and Patricia Kaiser Endowed Music Scholarship Fund was established for Baylor music majors in honor of Kaiser’s contributions to Christian Music and the Baylor music program.
