This event will be moderated by Dr. Lauren Barron with the Baylor University Medical Humanities program.

Dr. Peter J. HotezDr. Peter J. Hotez

Dr. Hotez is Dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine and Professor of Pediatrics and Molecular Virology & Microbiology at Baylor College of Medicine where he is also the Director of the Texas Children’s Center for Vaccine Development and Texas Children’s Hospital Endowed Chair of Tropical Pediatrics. He is also University Professor of Biology at Baylor University. Dr. Hotez is an internationally recognized physician scientist in neglected tropical diseases and vaccine development.


Dr. Maria Elena BottazziDr. Maria Elena Bottazzi

Dr. Bottazzi is Associate Dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine, Professor of Pediatrics and Co-Director of Texas Children's Center for Vaccine Development at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She is also Distinguished Professor of Biology at Baylor University. She is an internationally recognized vaccinologist with more than two decades of experience advancing product development partnerships.
