About our Guest Speakers
Jackson Wren (BBA '15, J.D. '20)
At age 12, long before Jackson and his twin brother Eric co-founded Nightlight Donuts & Coffee, their parents told them: “If you want a car one day, you’ll have to pay for it. Better get to work!”
Jackson and Eric decided to start their first business, a car detailing company called Cool Cat Car Care. That’s where Jackson fell in love with creating & building businesses.
While at Baylor, the brothers created Dapper Bear Clothiers, a collegiate apparel company specializing in clothing designed in the Official Baylor Plaid.
Nightlight Donuts & Coffee COO Kate Kooiker began working for the business a few months after it’s food truck debut. A lifelong creative and then a recent college graduate, Kate loved started her mornings early, making donuts, before heading into her job at Magnolia’s Creative Department. In December 2019, her passion for creating shifted from molding clay and plaster to building a business alongside the Wrens.
Originally from Michigan, Kate ran track and cross country at Hope College, graduating in 2017 with a degree in Studio Art and Business Management.
