What is the refund policy?
Cancellation Prior to the First Day of Camp
Students or parents who cancel registration by 3:00 pm on the Friday prior to the start of camp are eligible to receive a full refund of camp tuition minus the cancellation fee of $100. Please contact Chason Disheroon (firstname.lastname@example.org) by this date if you must cancel your registration and would like a refund. Refunds are issued to the credit card the registration was paid with.
Cancellation Following the Beginning of Camp
Students or parents who fail to notify the camp office of their intent to cancel registration by 3 p.m. on the Friday before camp begins are ineligible to receive a refund of camp fees. Due to the advance deadline for room and board reports to the University Host, those cancelling registration after the above mentioned day and time will not be eligible for a refund.
How do I contact my child?
A list of camp coordinator contact numbers will be provided to parents on or prior to registration. These numbers are to be used in the event of an emergency. Our camp does not collect cell phones from students upon arrival; Parents should be able to communicate with students through this method when necessary.
When is the final concert or recital?
Alleluia Youth concludes with a final worship service, showcasing students’ musical preparation throughout the week of rehearsals. Parents, family, and friends are invited to attend. This event will take place in the sanctuary of Seventh and James Baptist Church from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. The address for Seventh and James is: 602 James Ave, Waco, TX 76706.
Is parking available when I arrive on campus?
Parking is limited on campus. Parking information will be available upon registration on the first day of camp. Parking is open to the public on weekends; however, parking regulations are in effect Monday through Friday.
What if my child must arrive late or leave early?
We understand that a camp participant may be required to leave for circumstances related to illness or family emergency. In the case that a participant considered to be a minor must leave the camp, a parent or guardian must notify the camp coordinator Chason Disheroon (email@example.com) . The counseling staff will then be notified, and we will provide assistance to the student in making arrangements for departure.
If a camper will be arriving late to the camp, please notify the camp office in advance as of the exact time we can expect he/she to arrive.
Can I send my child to camp a day early? Can my child stay an extra night following the camp?
GENERALLY, No. Staff will not be available to supervise students prior to the first scheduled day of camp or following the conclusion of camp. Baylor dormitories cannot accommodate early arrivals or late departures. Please make travel arrangements so that your child arrives on the first day and leaves at the conclusion of the camp on Friday. Please contact our office for greater detail on this topic.
When should my child be picked up on the last day of camp?
The final event should conclude by 5 P.M. Students will check out of the dorm immediately following this event.
Who are the camp staff members and how are they prepared?
Counseling staff members are carefully selected from among the most responsible and mature students enrolled in graduate and undergraduate degrees at Baylor. All staff members are instructed in matters of supervising young people who are our guests at camp. All of our camp workers receive safety training for minors as well as pass criminal background checks.
Is my child safe at your camp?
Yes. The safety of our campers is a priority. Each year we evaluate our practices and adjust accordingly to ensure both a successful and safe camper experience. The camp staff, counselors, and campers will go over a number of safety guidelines during the opening meeting to list expectations for behavior and supervision. Campers will be under supervision throughout the entirety of the event and are not allowed to transition from location to location without counselors present. Additionally, an equal number of male and female counselors will be present throughout the camp.
