Worship Technology

Mason Williams serves as the Director of Worship Technology at First Baptist of Arlington (TX). FBC Arlington is a multi-cultural, multi-generational church that uniquely hosts two very different expressions of worship each Sunday, ranging from a modern contemporary service to a classic traditional service. A native Texan, Mason studied Sound Technology in the Lubbock area before devoting the next 13 years of his calling to Christian Broadcasting. Since then, he has served almost 2 years at FBCA, having just completed a major renovation project in their sanctuary which included a full overhaul of all pro audio/video equipment. Additionally, Mason has the privilege of mentoring a team of 30+ volunteers for the church's media team each Sunday as well as special events across the campus. Throughout his career, he has been involved in all aspects of media production, including video, sound, lighting, editing, and set design with an emphasis and passion for 2D/3D graphics and motion design.

In this session we will discuss the process of the renovation from a worship technology perspective and the challenges of spending sundays in 2 separate venues on campus during construction.
Worship Technology: Approaches to Varying Worship Styles
In this session, we will explore spects of technical preparations for varying styles of worship and the current challenges faced in transitioning between 2 different expressions on Sunday mornings.
Planning Center and General Tech Q&A
In this session we will cover the basics of Planning Center and how church management software can improve efficiency and organization of church planning. Additionally, we will hold an open forum for all technology related questions.
