James Michael Stevens (b. 1961) is the Music Department Chairman of Welch College in Gallatin, TN. He has degrees from Samford University, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and obtained a Doctorate in Music Composition from the University of Kentucky. He is a published composer with numerous companies including Hal Leonard, Shawnee Press, Alfred, Fred Bock Music, Imaginary Friends Music Partners, Warner Brothers, Score Keepers Music, LifeWay, Brentwood-Benson, Lorenz and others. His music includes choral, piano, and instrumental compositions in the school and church market and on network TV such as with The Young & the Restless on CBS. Dr. Stevens and his wife Babra reside in Nashville, TN.
