Whether you're a Baylor graduate returning to campus or a student preparing for visitors and all the events, Homecoming Weekend is a busy one for lots of Bears. Sophomore Mandy King, however, took things to another level.
We have started off this semester of Baylor AFROTC with an exciting bang! 97 new cadets have come to join or program, with most attending the semester's kick-off event know as "Pre-Flight." Pre-Flight is designed to give incoming cadets a chance to acclimate to Baylor's campus and Air Force ROTC while having fun bonding time with their fellow cadets.
Adding another achievement to its long history as one of the nation's oldest Air Force ROTC units, Baylor University's Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Detachment 810 has been named the No. 1 large detachment in the nation.
Already recognized as one of the nation's oldest Air Force ROTC units, Baylor University's Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 810 marked another milestone recently. The unit celebrated its 60th anniversary on the Baylor campus, commissioning 1,301 second lieutenants though the program during that time.
